Chic new skincare clinic pioneering new cosmetic technology

Groundbreaking new cosmetic skin treatments – including access to a machine that permanently stops sweating – are now available from a chic new clinic launched by a well-known Cairns doctor.

The fit-out of the new Cairns Cosmetic Clinic has transformed the old McLeod St Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology lab office space into a modern stylish space inspired by London dermatology clinics of Harley St.

London-trained professional Dr Rohit Goel, drawing on 20 years’ experience in emergency and general medicine, general practice and cosmetic medicine has left his role at Central Plaza Doctors to create the new clinic.

“I feel the new clinic will bring all of this together in a boutique space that is quite unique to the region,” he said.

“We will be able to offer technology that has not been available so far here in Cairns that will continue to expand now that I have a dedicated clinic space.”

In a Far North first patients now have access to a miraDry machine that permanently stops sweating after one treatment and stops hair growth using microwave technology.

Other machines include the Ultracel Q HIFU that stimulates collagen production, the Vivace which is a microneedling device for face and neck skin tightening and a Swiss-made Storz shockwave device that reduces cellulite and helps with male erectile dysfunction by improving blood flow.

“Each treatment will have different prices however we want to be able to offer these treatments for all of the local population so we will be fair in our pricing. We will also be running some special offers as well as loyalty programs,” Dr Goel said.

“I feel very excited to finally be able to have my own clinic that will allow me to service the local community bringing together science and creativity (so) clients (can reach their full) potential (and we can) enable them to have more self-confidence.

“In terms of the miraDry, given its effectiveness and short treatment time I feel this will have positive impact on my clients’ professional and personal lives.”

On arrival to the McLeod St clinic each client is offered a barista coffee, herbal tea or freshly made kombucha with sparkling water.

Central Plaza Doctors is expected to be closed for the next four months for refurbishment.
